Becoming Involved

Your donation dollars are always greatly appreciated - your donations help keep all our wonderful programs running. Here are a few more ways you can get involved:

Become a Docent

(Adults 18 and older, please)

Attend MFAS programs as our representative – you can attend one program or an entire season of 6-8 programs. Be careful – you might find the joy and fulfillment addictive! We have many programs running throughout the season, in many types of facilities, and it’s not possible for us to attend every program. Please consider being our eyes and ears, on hand to introduce and thank musicians and contact people personally, in a facility close to your home or work. We have programs scheduled both during the day and in the evenings, with Docent availability in all five states we serve. Additionally, your employer might give you time off for community service activities!

Volunteer in the
Music For All Seasons offices

if you live close to Scotch Plains, NJ.
(Ages 16 and up, please)

It might not sound very exciting, but it sure does help us out!  Plus, your employer might give you time off for community service activities.
Responsibilities might include:
Proofreading
Data entry
Filing
Clerical tasks
Answering the telephone
Mailings

Help with Social Media

(Age 13+)

Spread the word about the work that we’re doing! Share our posts, post about us, send us interesting news stories or the latest research. We love to hear from you and share our stories with you and your friends/family and their friends/family…(you get the idea). We are a grassroots organization, and your feedback and involvement are vital to our success and continued growth.

Attend a CD Release Party

(All ages)

The culmination of every session of Voices of Valor is a CD Release Party. Our CD Release Parties are almost always open to the public, and our participants are very proud of their song and their accomplishments. Join us for a CD Release Party, bring your friends and neighbors, hear the world premiere of a new song. Meet the Veterans who created the song, and the Musician/Facilitators who worked with them. Help celebrate this wonderful accomplishment, and maybe share a cookie with a new friend.
