NEA delays grants to state partners, funds 817
projects nationwide
An outdoor jazz festival presented by Jazz House Kids in
Montclair, a Wagner opera in Princeton and in-school dance
residencies in East Orange are among 15 New Jersey projects that
will share $284,500 from the National Endowment for the Arts. The
New Jersey awards are among 817 nationwide totaling $26.3 million

More Jackqui Dankworth joins MFAS Advisory Board
Brilliant jazz singer Jacqui Dankworth has joined the Music For All Seasons Board of Advisors. The news was announced last week, following her acclaimed appearance in MFAS's benefit event honoring the music of Marvin Hamlisch. Dankworth performed a musical tribute to Hamlisch at the Russian Tea Room event "From Belarus to Broadway - celebrating MUSIC!" This was Dankworth's second featured appearance at a Music For All Seasons event.

Issues of Domestic Violence - 2006
The National Endowment for the Arts has continued its support of
Music For All Seasons programs to bring interactive musical programs
to children and their mothers in shelters for victims of domestic
violence. These programs are taking place in shelters in New Jersey,
New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and California.

MFAS Awarded First NEA Grant - 2005
The National Endowment for the Arts has announced that Music For All Seasons is one of only six organizations in New Jersey to be awarded a grant in this round. The $10,000 grant is to be matched on a 4:1 basis to provide interactive musical programs for children and their mothers in shelters for victims of domestic violence.
