Music For All Seasons, formed in 1991
by Rena Fruchter and Brian Dallow, is now in the middle of its fifteenth
season. We have presented over 3,000 performances in a wide variety
of musical styles to audiences in hospitals, hospices, geriatric
centers, special schools for children, jails, homeless shelters,
and rehabilitation centers.
Our programs are tailored to the needs of each facility. Interaction
between performers and the audience members is an important part
of each program. We rarely do single performances; rather, we establish
a series of programs featuring different artists every few weeks.
MFAS now provides more than 250 concerts
each year in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and
California. Governed by a prestigious Board of Trustees, this organization
is unique and attracts the active support of an international Board
of Advisors with 23 world-renowned artists, headed by Steven Isserlis.
Foundations, corporations, and individuals fund most costs. Funding
has also been made possible in part by the National Endowment for
the Arts and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Department
of State.
Music For All Seasons has been the recipient
of letters of commendation from President George Bush, British Prime
Minister Tony Blair, Governor Christine Todd Whitman of New Jersey,
Governor George Pataki of New York, Mayors Rudolph Guiliani and
Michael Bloomberg of New York City, and Mayor Sharpe James of Newark,
New Jersey. We are also proud to have received two certificates
of Special Congressional Recognition from the United States Congress,
several Resolutions of Commendation from the New Jersey General
Assembly and several Resolutions of Commendation and Appreciation
from the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders in New Jersey.
We additionally receive many certificates of appreciation from the
facilities we serve.
